Material Selection
- Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR): It has good oil resistance, abrasion resistance, heat resistance, as well as certain elasticity and mechanical strength. The general working temperature range is from -40°C to 120°C. It is often used in the environment of hot and cold valve cores that are in contact with oil or have certain requirements for oil resistance.
- Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber: It has excellent ozone resistance, weather resistance, and heat resistance, and has good tolerance to hot water, brake fluid, etc. The working temperature is -45°C to 130°C (sulfur vulcanization) and -50°C to 150°C (peroxide vulcanization). It is suitable for the sealing of hot and cold valve cores in contact with hot water, such as the valve core sealing of solar water heaters and hot water pipelines.
- Fluororubber (FKM): It has excellent oil resistance, chemical resistance, and heat resistance, and can work continuously at a temperature range from -15°C to 200°C. It can resist strong acids, strong alkalis, etc., and is used for hot and cold valve cores with high requirements for temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.
